Kitsap Transit’s fall service changes begin September 13, 2026. If you ride to a ferry dock, Olympic College or a North Kitsap destination, check both your usual stop and your departure time before your next trip.

The agency’s September service announcement covers multiple routes. This guide highlights changes that may affect a connection and explains how to check the right schedule.

Port Orchard: check your bus-to-ferry connection

Route 108–Bethel is scheduled to leave the Port Orchard Ferry Dock every 15 minutes on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Some times outside that window also change.

SK Ride Express adds timed stops linking the McCormick areas with the dock. It operates separately from on-demand SK Ride, and Express trips cannot be booked through Ride Pingo. Both services are fare-free through September 30, according to the agency.

For a trip from Port Orchard to Bremerton, plan the bus, ferry and final walk or bus ride as separate legs. Start with the time you need to arrive, then work backward. Leave room for the walk between stops and boarding points rather than assuming that two listed times guarantee a connection.

Bremerton: use the new Route 215 campus timetable

The Route 215 schedule effective September 13 lists Olympic College Bremerton between Wheaton Way Transit Center and Bremerton Transportation Center. Service is weekdays only. Some early trips show no campus stop, so select a row that includes a time in the Olympic College column.

If your day includes an early class and an evening return, check both directions. Saving only the morning schedule can leave an important gap in your plan. Students can also read our Olympic College free bus pass guide before arranging pickup.

North Kitsap: look again at stops and route names

Routes 331 and 332 add a stop at Viking Avenue and Stendahl Court. Route 393 becomes Manzanita/Bloedel and serves Bloedel Reserve; Route 394 becomes Ferncliff/Valley and no longer serves the reserve. The agency also says the Bainbridge Downtown Loop pilot will continue through March 2027.

For a Poulsbo or Bainbridge Island outing, confirm the stop closest to your actual destination. A familiar route number is a starting point, not a complete itinerary.

A five-minute check before your first fall trip

  1. Choose your travel date. Check weekday, weekend and holiday service separately.
  2. Read the effective date. During our September 11 review, some route landing pages still displayed older timetables. Use the service-update link when it applies to your trip.
  3. Match the direction and stop. Read across one timetable row, including any blank or no-stop entries.
  4. Plan the return. Save that schedule alongside the outbound trip.
  5. Recheck before leaving. Use the rider alerts linked by Kitsap Transit for current disruptions.

Keep the full agency announcement handy for routes outside this guide. It links to the individual schedules and stop information.
