The Olympic College free bus pass can help eligible students and employees travel during the 2026–27 academic year. Before heading to a pickup desk, check your eligibility, register and choose a location that works with your campus plans.

Start at Olympic College’s official bus pass page. It links to registration and the current program terms, so you can complete the process through the college.

1. Check eligibility and what the pass covers

OC says currently enrolled students qualify, except those enrolled only in Continuing Education. Student eligibility is checked quarterly. Employees are also eligible and should direct program questions to Human Resources.

The pass is valid through June 30, 2027, subject to eligibility. It covers Kitsap Transit buses and local foot ferries, including Port Orchard and Annapolis. It does not cover fast ferries or ferries traveling to Seattle.

Before planning a mixed bus-and-ferry journey, write down the operator and service for each leg. If your itinerary includes Seattle, check the fare for that crossing separately instead of assuming the college pass covers the entire journey.

2. Register before you visit a pickup desk

Use the registration link on the college’s page. Advance registration is encouraged to shorten pickup waits, and students must show a student ID to receive a pass.

Put registration and pickup on your preparation list as separate tasks. Keep any confirmation you receive, bring your student ID, and review the college’s terms before your visit. If you are unsure whether your enrollment qualifies, resolve that question with OC before making a special trip.

3. Choose a pickup location and check its hours

OC lists broader desk pickup beginning September 14. Options include Haselwood Library in Bremerton, Building 6; the Poulsbo campus front desk, Building P1, Room 114; and the Shelton campus front desk, Building S1. The official page lists additional Bremerton desks and Ranger Ready orientation pickup.

Choose the desk nearest the campus you will actually visit. Check that desk’s opening hours before leaving; a program start date does not tell you when every desk will be staffed. Keep a payment option for the journey to collect your pass.

Build a route around your class time

Kitsap Transit’s program announcement describes added Bremerton campus connections starting September 13, including Route 215 and nearby Route 219 stops. The agency also offers personalized trip-planning help through its linked form or customer service at 360-377-2877.

When requesting a plan, have your campus, arrival time and return time ready. Include the days you travel and any accessibility needs you want the agency to consider. Check the final walk from the bus stop to your building as part of the trip.

Our September transit changes guide explains the new connections. The Bremerton and Poulsbo guides offer more local context, while Kitsap Transit’s OC pass resource is the place to continue planning with the operator.

Reported from the official sources linked above. Schedules and program details may change; check the organizer or operator before making plans.
